I feel a piece of staple above skin, will it work out by it self?

My last surgery is 7 weeks old and I can feel something sticky. My staples were removed about four weeks ago but I feel a sharpness like a pin. I can feel it lightly and just wondering will it come out on its own. My friend says he just not feel a thing, but I do. I just do not want any other problems.

It’s hard to give advice on something like this, the only advice I would say is to maybe get in to see ya doctor or nurse, they may have left half a staple in :roll_eyes: but to be on the safe side, I would go and get it checked out if that’s possible…:+1:

Hi, could also be a piece of internal stitch not dissolved properly. Sometimes they work their way out, sometimes they get infected. Id go to the drs nurse and get them to check. They can grab it with tweezers.

Get it checked out by a nurse or doctor, it may move in either direction, and that’s not what you want is it.

Thank you I get a little paranoia since having both hips replaced. I do not want anything to go wrong. I have suffered long and very hard to get to this point. It is only at night while lying down I feel it after placing my hand in that area. I will ask doc when I go on the 7th. Your reply is truly appreciated.
