Hooray the time has finally come. I got a phone call today from the orthopedic surgeon. My surgery for my hip replacement will be December 22nd. So it looks like I will be in the hospital during Christmas eve and Christmas day, but I'm okay with it I had said all along if that's what it took then I was at peace with it.
That is fantastic good luck, I will be thinking of you, take care, bet you can't wait xx
How marvellous for you. You have a completely bona fide reason to do nothing over Christmas.
…Happy Christmas!!!
All the best for the 22nd and merry Christmas xx

Hello Evelyn,
WOW!! You've been waiting 10 years for a hip replacement? How in the world have you been managing that kind of pain for so long? Do you have any nerve damage? So, why haven't you had it done before now?
I cannot fathom anyone enduring that much pain for so long. I have had both hips replaced in the past two years. So I definitely understand what you're going through Evelyn.
I wish you the very best. And trust that you will have a good healthy recovery.

Terrific news🎉. Maybe your family/ friends will have time off work over holidays and can come spoil you. You will definitely have a reason not to cook & clean and such.
I'm wishing you an uneventful surgery and swift recovery. Merry Christmas!
Hi finally is here, glad that you're on your way to a whole new life.
Let's pray that the operation is a success.
Remember, after surgery, for the next 4 weeks, try to see if you can get a wedge to place between your legs or maybe a puffy pillow. That immobolizes movement which you have to observe the precautions. No sleeping on your side, minimize on going to the bathroom, but if you have too then you need to be extreme careful not to cross your legs, also you will need stool softner, you will need it.
My 4 weeks was crucial for my recovery, but i made it. This is how bone growth to the new hip occurred and all went well. I am praying for you Evelyn that the operation is a success.
Evelyn that is fantastic news. What a wonderful Christmas present! Will be thinking of you and wishing you all the very best for your recovery.
Love, Stella x

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I feel like yes I'm relieved the time is finally here yet a little scary not knowing exactly what to expect so that's where I'm at but here we go.
Hi there how I wish I could have done something over Christmas but there's no way. Christmas is my favorite time of year and I love decorating but this time it couldn't be done. I Chyna see myself sitting in that hospital bed with Santa hat on on Christmas Day but I don't want my husband to have to do that out and try to find it just for that. But it's always fun
Thank you and Merry Christmas to you also
Thank you so much and Merry Christmas to you also.
Thank you so much I do look forward to getting this done yet not really knowing what to expect after surgery and how I will function. It's been so long that my muscles are weak and I don't know how I will handle it but I will carry on and move forward with the surgery. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for your well wishes. And yes it's been 10 years 10 long years. I had no medical insurance as it was too expensive to buy. But now that I'm 65 I finally have medical insurance with Medicare plus my supplemental. I go to the doctor next week and then the 22nd I'm going for surgery. The best to you also and Merry Christmas.
