hi i had the exact problem, please go back to your doctor they should give you more antibiotics! they said i had the flu then broncitas, it was actually pneumonia and then pleurisy, i know how painful it is but im afraid with your symptoms it sounds very much like pleurisy, keep on taking the painkillers every four hours and when i had this infection i found having a hotwater bottle on my chest and where the pain is helps a bit, but most of all rest!!! i was ill for three months i just hope you can beat your symptoms quicker than i did! good luck! fran

It came at the first week of July before I moved, stressed out and physically exhausted. Plus it has been extremely busy at my works place since April, fighting multiple fronts at the same time, stressed out and physically exhausted again. They assulted at knees, hips, lower back, chest, shoulders, plus headache and fever. I still worked, not even one day off. Painkillers didn't work. I was rushed to emergency suspected having a heartattack at a morning. Doctors said it's cold or flu, it would go away a week later. My boss said it's pneumonia because he had same symptoms on upper torso, antibiotics would work, he urged me to the campus clinic. But my lungs were clear, so the young doctor in the campus clinic gave me Prexige because inflammation all over my body. BINGO! Severe pains and aches were gone in the first week, but it made me light-headed. My family doctor looked back my pain history from 10 years ago, also sent me to various tests, everything was normal. She suspected the HLA B27 was the cause that set off by a cold then triggered arthritis or Ankylosin (she said it's not few days ago), she prescribes Naproxen. Now the pleura and lower back still in pain, cough and sneeze are my worst enemies, deep breath is painful. I will discuss this with her at my next appointment three weeks later. I think it is Pleurisy.
