I had opp over a yr ago on both hands now it's back with extras

I am due to have operation on one hand this monday but am thinking of cancelling it tomorrow and put up with symptoms! It doesnt sound good if you have it back 
Hi Sharon, don't make a quick decision. Thousands of people have this surgery every year and the majority come out wishing they had done it earlier as everything goes well.
A very small percentage do not improve, but a tiny percentage of them are worse not better, Operations are always a gamble, you will be asked to sign disclaimers before going ahead. But look at the vast majority who have a greatly improved life afterwards.
It's always your choice, but looking on a forum is the worst way to make the decision because people are better at bitching and complaining than praising the Dr's.
I had the operation just 9 days ago, I'm still a bit scared of what happened but I am happy it went ahead and feel better each day.
On all the forums, and I've been on many, I have not heard of anyone getting it back again....and if you do, have the 8 minute operation again.
Sorry to ask but are you diabetic as there is a higher chance of recurrence in these patients?
