I had double doses of Tegretol for 2 days but therapeutic level stayed in range? Why??

A very good question.
I have also seen that with double doing on bad days.
A good day for me is 3 doses of 100mg
a bad day I double yo 600mg
if I go higher than 600 mg per I suffer vertigo which is no fun at all.
must be a delay to the meds.
i now take fast absorbing tegratol
taste is terrible but better help than the pink coated version.
