I have never been in this situation or had to take this mediaction. However, I wanted to give some advice. All medication have potential side effects and it would seem plausible that any medication that interferes with hormones /your normal cycle would cause some possible unwanted effects. Have a good read of the leaflet that came with the medication. Does it list spotting or bleeding as a side effect? If not I would consult with whoever prescribed it to you or even a pharmacist for some reassurance. All the best,
