Anxiety sucks so bad I hate it ! It is running my life sertaline isn't working
How long have you been on it. I'm approaching 6 weeks I've hit a road block with it
Years on 50 mg ! Second week on 100 
Why have u hit a road block ? Not feeling any better?
I'm on 50 mg as well. At first it was rough and then I started to get better even tho I was still anxious and lightheaded sometimes but I was ok but this week I started having bad anxiety due to relationship problems so I feel like I'm going backwards

Hi Michelle, i have been on sertraline now for 8 weeks in total (4 weeks on 50mg & 4 on 100mg) cant really say i noticed a change with 50mg so my doctor upped me... even after 3 weeks i was like this is rubbish its making no change to me whatsoever then i started noticing little things like i was in a happier mood, i didnt mind going to work (which previously i hated the thought of even though i like my job) i just wanted to stay in bed all day and in my house.
Then on Friday i was invited to a bbq with a few friends (some friends i werent close to) and i decided to go knowing that i wouldnt be comfortable and my anixety would be high but to my surprise i was great, i was at total ease and felt so relaxed i was so so happy when i went home that night.
Things will get better just keep taking the tablets and take each day at a time, dont get me wrong i do have a few set backs (went round family house on sunday and felt anxious) but i am sure in time there will be more good days then bad. I find that reading everyone elses stories really help

Hi miss sunshine 10 😊 after 5 years of having ocd anxiety depression etc I decided to tell my gp..I've been on 50mg sertraline at first I felt numb jaw ache stomach cramp..now most of those side effects have dissapered but I feel down all the time don't get excited about nothing anymore it seems like this is a waste of time..am really glad to hear your feeling better at most times but this medication might not be suitable for everyone am not sure.
No you are right, i have heard a few people who have been on it for some time and it hasnt done them any good. I suppose everyone is different, how long have you been taking sertraline for now?

3 weeks is not quite long enough, i have read most people feel better around 8 weeks, some even 3 - 6 months. I know this seems like a LONG wait cause believe me i thought the same but you will get there. I do feel better lately but i am still not 100% and still waiting for it happen. Maybe give it 8 weeks and see how you feel? Have you got to go back to your doctor for a review??
I've been on it for 6 weeks when does it get better? 2-4 weeks I was great now I feel like I'm back to square one
Thank you for your vote of confidence sunshine it's not along wait as I suffered for 5 years but with help from my family friends and my own ideas I was coping most days well now I just feel nothing..it sets still live my life work party go out but excitement factor is non existent..dear oh dear lol I vowed to myself not to go over a year on meds I hate the idea of them.am going this Friday 29th July x I do also feel like there not really do anything I take my pill at night
