So I have had a mild rash on glans of my penis for around 2 months, it sometimes hurts and i have noticed that it smells bad and the glans itself is sometimes moist and shiny. I have also noticed increased redness at the tip of the urethra. A few weeks ago I had two bright red patches of skin appear under the glans of the penis however they dissapeared after a day or two. I have a feeling it may be balanitis but ive seen a urologist who didnt think there was much cause for concern. I have also experienced some pain when urinating not extreme but noticeable. The pain feels like it is in my mid urethra during and after urinating. It doesnt happen all the time and if I am very well hydrated doesnt really happen at all.
I have also noticed two dark patches appear on my foreskin. I did some googling (I know terrible idea) and everything pointed towards penile cancer. My urologist examined them and felt there was no cause for concern mentioning briefly that she thought it was hyperpigmentation or a fungal thing. I applied an anti fungal cream (canesten) which didnt help. I did return to clinic but once again she said it was probably hyperpigmentation.
I have also noticed that my flaccid penis is now more rubbery feeling as opposed to previously when it felt more spongy! This is really scaring me.
File size is too bigI File size is too bighave been tested for STD'S (all clear) had my bloods done (all good) multiple urine samples (all normal) and had a urethra swab done to check for non gonnoccal uretheritis which also came back clear. I am a 20 year old male and absouloutely petrified its something awful i am missing. My foreskin has always been tight but i havent had any issues before now if that could be a cause? I do have GAD (Anxiety) and i know that i can sometimes make myself feel symptomns that dont exist but the rash and dark patches are visible which is making me worry. i dont have any extreme pain. just enough to be noticeable. im just scared I have missed something big.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated,

Do you feel you have a trusting professional relationship with the Urologist you have been seeing for these issues?
I think working with the Urologist is the only way to deal with the issues you have detailed. In terms of the fears you have you need to make these explicit to the Urologist and make sure that you are happy with the responses you are given …

Try not to stress. I sometimes think stressing makes these things worse… I to have had a few penile issues and my advice is get a second opinion from another dermatoligist! Mine started three months ago with a redness around tip of penis! At present im still no further forward. Multiple creams with no success. You also stated about frequency to urinate, Are you talkin alot during the day?? Thats an issue i also have. Waitin to get a bladder scan at end of month. I should note avoid gettin circumcised as you will regret it! Speakin from experience.

i had never had to see a urologist before these issues arose. I have seen the same Urologist twice who asked me to come back a third time for a urethra swab. This process was done by a different urologist who couldnt see anything that caused her any concern on swab results and said “Come back in two weeks if its still painful” i dont know what to do largely because the pain is not so bad that its affecting my life majorily and i feel like im over reacting but its there and playing on my mind constantly.

thanks a lot for your reply first of all! i do agree that stressing does sometimes make things worse. However i just cant help it, its just thrown a massive spanner in the works even though it might not be a major issue im terrified it is. Im very concious of how i feel down there at every second of the day its kind of consuming me! do you recommend seeing a dermatologist rather than a urologist? Mine had been going for a while now but its so frustrating that it takes so long to sort out! Yea i dont drink enough water during the day. i dont ever feel an increased urge to urinate although sometimes (very rarely) ive felt i need to urinate but upon arriving at the toilet i dont! when i do take a lot of water my urine is mainly pale yellow or clear and at a normal frequency. although i have noticed that my dehydrated urine is extremely dark yellow and smells very very strongly. my urologist did a urine sample to check for bladder infection do, is this sufficient? Really? I was expecting that to be the outcome of this issue and was just hoping i could skip right to that process of circumcision! thanks again for your help
