I woke up this morning with a stitch on my left hand side. The pain is below my ribs and in line with the top of my bellybutton. It feels the stitch pains one gets while doing exercise, but no amount of slow breathing or stretching has worked.
My bowel movements started out as loose but now they are closer to diarrhoea. Any type of body movement; deep breaths, twisting, turning or bending my torso, also makes it more painful.
What can the cause be? Could it be just a wind, or a stiff muscle? Or is it something I should worry about?
It sounds like the start of IBS since you have change of bowel habit. Does your pain move about? See your doctor to confirm.
Hi yes it sounds like IBS I have this and I have had to change my diet habits to try and stop the IBS outbreaks.

Hi Susan,
I have the exact same thing and it has been going on for a few months now. Did they find out what was causing it?
