Does Gilbert syndrome affect my job while being diagnosed in pre employment tests?
It all depends on your work. If Your work is extremely strenuous, then it may affect it when your bilirubin goes up (the fluid that flows through your gall bladder - which is what they test for during blood tests).
People are affected differently. I try and make sure I don't get too overtired; if I do, then my bilirubin goes up and I'm exhausted and render pretty useless. Also after an operation or virus, I get exhausted.
If you just been diagnosed and haven't felt extremely exhausted before, then it should not affect you.

I would assume it won't affect employment. As far as I am aware the medical industry advises that the only symptom of Gilberts is the occasional yellowing of the skin. There is newer research suggesting that medication 8s required however Doctors don't seem to be aware of this yet. I personally have not seen the studies but my Naturopath did the research and also advised me that medications may have a stronger affect on someone with Gilberts which I feel is handy to know. Good luck with the job and I surely hope you never experience any Gilberts symptoms.
No, I do not think this would affect your chances of being employed at all. My internal specialist doc, and also my general practitioner insisted for years that Gilberts has no symtoms other then the elevated bilirubin, and the slight yellowing of my skin. Well in my case they were horribly wrong, since I have been experiencing many bad symptoms. But regarding your situation, the general consensus and official diagnoses for Gilberts is that it is only a harmless condition, a genetic glitch. So, even if they might have an issue with your condition you can contest the decision based on the official diagnosis guidelines for Gilberts.

No, they won't consider you weaker than any other candidate, unless perhaps you want to b a Navy Seal TWC. As several of us have said, Gp's and even specialists view Gilbert's Syndrome as non debilitating, as not affecting your work or lifestyle. Even my gastrolentologist who is one of the top in his field says it has very minimal affect on people.
I cannot see it having any adverse affect on your prospective employer.
Do a search on Gilbert's Syndrome or Gilbert's Disease on the Internet, you will find the medical profession see this as of little affect on anyone's health.
I've been told by many GPS & specialists over the years it doesn't affect my health and well being. Glad they know how it affects me when I'm suffering exhaustion for a week after an operation or procedure or virus. Even me telling this to specialists, they don't listen. So believe me, you are worrying for nothing ok
