I have been affected in both lower legs causing my feet to be pretty much drop footed. Would like to hear of any similar cases?
I have been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. anyone else out there with similar circumstance?
Hi Joanne, I haven't had GBS myself but a friend had it several years ago and made a FULL RECOVERY, but it takes time. He was almost totally paralysed at first and very frightened but his friends rallied round to help, plus he felt he had a lot of support from the GBS Society, he wore the badge with pride for quite a long time afterwards. So be patient, it will resolve almost certainly but it's a slow lingering condition and will take its time. Try not to worry, that will only make it worse. By the way, I have a drop foot so I understand how you are feeling. Alison
Hi Alison, when you say 'full recovery', do you meant that literally? By that I mean, did your friend recover from the fatigue symptoms which for many people, myself included, linger much longer than many other more
obvious symptoms such as double vision and walking difficulties etc. ( I had the Miller Fisher variant of GBS in June this year. Fatigue is the difficult to cope with thing for me.
