I have been on citalopram for two weeks for depression and bad anxiety/panic attacks which had gradually built up over the last few months to a point where I just felt that I couldn't cope with anything. I was concerned about the side effects and experienced a few of them such as dry mouth, increased anxiety within the first week, bad sleeping patterns, but after two weeks they have calmed down dramatically and I'm starting to feel normal again. The anxiety is disappearing and I'm starting to view the world in a more positive way.I do feel that these are working for me and am hopeful and positive for the first time in weeks that I will get back to the old me. The only side effect I'm still experiencing is waking up a few times in the night in a sweat. I wondered if anyone else experiences this and if it would be better to take the tablets at night rather than in the morning. I would appreciate any comments.:D

That has actually happened to me a few times, I take mine at night anyway so I dont think it makes any difference when you take them.

OOOh yes I had the night sweats too, then when you wake up you are absolutely freezing cold!

I take mine at night and the same thing happens, so I guess it makes no difference when they taken.
