Je souffre de reflux gastro-œsophagien avec sinusite, pression au niveau de la tête et du cou, vision floue et difficultés à avaler

Hi I just read your post and can also relate to your issues right now I get pressure in my head and ears sore neck shoulders chest and arms some I think from my stomach and some because I'm always tense and worried about what is going on. I also get blurred vision and dizzy/lightheadedness this seems worse hour or so after I've eaten. I have anxiety now with this as I worry its my heart or something else but doctor explained that your stomach controls so much and when there is an imbalance it can affect your whole body

hello Lynsey, /i know what you feel right now, me too has anxiety because of my condition..so how are you at the moment lynsey? do you still do your daily routine? me, im in trouble doing my daily routine bacause i get dizzy and nauseated when i do light tasks..its very hard....

I have not filmed yet or undergo endoscopy..I hope my doctor will refer me to a gastro dr. or ENT doctor...how are ypou at the moment Onebratt?

Hi I'm okay sometimes other times its bad I find I feel quite sick in morning I start burping as soon as I get out if bed and feel nauseous I usually feel slightly better just after I've eaten but then about an hr later I feel rubbish dizzy discomfort in stomach and chest and a lot of burping. I have to try and do my daily routine as I have. 5 yr old and a 2 yr old and I work part time so I'm quite busy but it is a struggle I get so scared with these symptoms would never have thot they were due to stomach but apparently they are. My doctor said would sent me for an endoscopy if I want but wanted me to try tablets omeprazole first I've been taking them for 4 weeks but not really any change x

you need to undergo endoscopy lynsey find  out what is going on about your reflux..hope the tablets will work for you well...regarding my case, i am really losing my apetite as well..sometimes i feel weak..i am really worried now..

I like to think I can control my emotions, I do believe my gut is attributing to anxiety. I mean after I get out my hot tub I feel so relaxed. But it only takes a small thing and I'm tense again but I don't notice... its taking me nearly a full hour to relax my muscles in the tub... not got any better yet I might add exercise into my routine. I worry about everything. All the time lol but can't help it.

I went faint when I was playing with my boys. But I was constantly worrying that exercise would kill me and the docs possibly miss diagnosed me lol.. sound familiar or am I on my own lol. I had heart burn after a sinfully burns your throat etc.... so why is this pain completely different. I trust the docs are doing there best but in terms of emotional support the nhs in uk needs a shake up.

Hi just saw your post & wondered how you are getting on now

How did everything go? I have been feeling the same except blurry vision.

Wow

I have been going thrubthe same feelings for a month now. Had a couple anxiety attacks(I think) few months ago here and there. Then 2 months ago woke up felt the same expecting it to go away but never did. Only to devolve heartburn and reflux couple weeks later.

Any tips that might help??

Appreciated

Thanks

In same boat as you!

It's debilitating. Hard to go to work.

Our stomachs are our second brain. I am going thrubthis now and have listened to some Healing meditation which I think is amazing! Might be BS but it makes me feel better. Also appreciate the times I was fine and hope to get back to normal. I know I will appeciate everything much more.

Good luck

I am going thru hell right now also

Hi Louie for the past month I have been suffering with GERD, I went to the doctors (maybe a mistake) and was prescribed Lansaprazole (PPI) to be taken once daily, after 2 weeks I actually felt worse with heartburn/chest pain sore throat so i went back to docs who put me on 2 Lansaprazole a day, after a few days i stopped taking them as i was convinced they were making me worse, i was panicking, stressed about what I can and can't eat so last Monday I went back to the docs and told him the tablets weren't working, he said that me panicking and googling all the time was making it worse and to put my mind at ease he booked me in for and Endoscopy, i also showed him that I had white fungus on my tounge (oral thrush) so I was prescribed Fluconozole anti fungal tablets, for two weeks, after a few days of taking them my throat felt slightly better, had my healthy tea, then when I laid down in bed my throat seemed to get worse and then I started getting muscle twitching at the top of my left breast, went to emergency doctors then A+E, as I was sat waiting in A+E my head started buzzing then I had blurred vision in one eye for about 15mins, when I finally saw a doctor they couldn't find anything wrong and put it down to me stressing about reflux, the next two days were horrendous never felt so depressed in all my life I had to have 2 days off work and even though I went to seaside on the Friday I still had the head buzzing and felt miserable, it wasn't until about 7pm that night I started to come round and the buzzing died down, I had a good sleep and when I woke up sore throat had improved and in the afternoon at a BBQ I managed to eat a burger and two sausages, first time i had an appetite for food like that in weeks, i knew i shouldnt have but I was sick of reflux dictating my life, I was still get muscle twitches though, and it was constantly on my mind, we left the BBQ about 9pm, then I started to get head pressure, and even though I had a good sleep last night I still woke up with head pressure and occasional muscle twitching this morning i am also feeling tired, I am booked in for a blood test on Wednesday, but I am going to try and get in docs before then to explain the twitching and head pressure, sorry for the long paragraph I just wanted to share my story, one thing after another, i just want to feel normal again and lead a normal life, Fed up isn't the word, Thanks for listening.

Hi Louie,  I wanted to check in. This post was from two years ago so i’m hoping you’ve found relief from these symptoms. I’m also curious because this description pretty much nails my same symptoms. It sucks and makes life hard to deal with at times. I so much want to feel normal again. I’m 42 but feel like 82.

How are you doing Matthew? It seems as there are a number of us with the same symptoms. I am so tired of not feeling right and docs not being able to come up with a solution. Maybe we can lean on each other and share ideas.

Hi Chris I feel your pain I to have these problems plus IBS the neck ache is a killer really gets u down as well as the sore & swollen throat chest pain & all the other pains that go with it Can I ask what u take for it at the moment

I am relating to all the symptoms you've described.. chest pains splitting Headache, dizziness and even sinus. I've had this GERD for more than 6months now and the doctors say it really takes time for symptoms to wane. I am 30 and have stopped working for 6 months now and yes it's not easy. The anxiety of not being able to do things like normal people are eating me and it sometimes seems that people around us can't understand what we're going through and are overreacting. So it is some assurance that all of us can relate. I also have checkups with my neuro for the headaches because I was so scared with what im feeling. I've had a number of doctors too cardio, neuro , ENT and gastro that I have consulted. They tell me that we should always remember that no one really dies of GERD and since there are a myraid of things that we feel it all contributes to anxiety. Some things I do to relax is to read a book, pray often do yoga and take things slowly. I hope we all recover soon and get over this sickness soon.

Hi Nia!

I have all the same symptoms as you and louie. I'm only 3 months into this. However, i have seen improvement from the 5 R's program to get off PPI's. Look it up on Google. A lot of steps, but worth it. Im not cured yet, but i hope to be back to normal someday. At least close to it. Good luck and keep in touch please.

These same symptoms have literally changed my life. I had to quit my job but ended up starting my own company from home which has been the only good thing about getting GERD or whatever they want to tell me I have. I have been suffering for 9 months and have had mad anxiety from it. I almost fainted at the wheel when the symptoms first showed up because I thought I was dying and in turn went into a full blown panic attack. Took me forever to believe the doctors that I only had gerd because it felt so life threatening. I haven’t died and the symptoms come and go which seems like it would be constant if it was life threatening. My biggest qualm is I feel the need to take deep breaths and I can’t. This annoys me the most along with tension headaches which I have researched and they are from the stress. There are a lot of studies showing the relationship with gerd and anxiety. The stomach is a weird thing

Happy to hear there is improvement on your part. I'd say there is improvement in mine too but of course the same symptoms come and go sometimes but not as constant as before. Thanks for the suggestion too Jackie I haven't heard of the program and will look it up. Anyway I have much as time in my hands as I am not working anymore. I hope you will be able to feel well and normal soon as all of us are striving to be. Good to know that we are not alone in this and it is some comfort that we are reassured with the fact that there are many people out there that understands us.
