I have episodes of palpitations throughout the day. I suffer from health and general anxiety.

I feel a little agitated for a second and my heart starts racing. It lasts 2-3 minutes but goes away with deep breathing. The last few days they have happened 3 to 4 times per day but sometimes slow down even after a minute of breathing. Can anxiety do this? I've had all sorts of tests done on my heart by a cardiologist and everything came back normal. He never caught an episode like this but says there is no heart disease or blockages. Just wondering if anxiety can make your heart start racing out of nowhere like this for a minute a few times a day. Usually happens to me when I get home at night.

Hey frank, i have been having this for a while to. It is completly normal to get this if you have anxiety. I went to the doctors and he said the best way for it to stop is to relax and not worrysmile

That's so good to hear. I keep thinking there is something wrong with my heart cause out of nowhere it starts racing and it's happening everyday. I didn't know anxiety could do this

I feel the same way, its so horrible. You would be so surprised with the things anxiety can do to you. I'm the worst for worrying but the main thing is you need to relax and not worry about anything

Great to hear. Thanks for the reply

Hi smile I have the exact same thing, I'm constantly worrying about my heart. I've been doing deep breathing exercises and meditation which has been helpful. You should give it a try. smile

Hi frank , did you doctor precribe you some medication?

That's what I've started doing as well now. I just feel like out of nowhere my heart starts racing and that's what I've been obsessing over. I've felt it in the past but it's been happening so often lately and it freaks me out

Hi my doctor wanted me to go on anxiety med but I want to try to get past this with meditation and behavioral therapy first
