I had noe episode of vertigo ten years ago. Later, I started to have tinnitus from time to time in my right ear. But for the last almost ten years I am having constant (none stop)tinnitus with a fluctuating hearing loss. I manage to live with it without any problems. I notice that my tinnitus get worse during the winter, therefore I always wear my hat. The last week I experienced a sensation of ear fullness sometimes accompanied by dizziness for the first time. Can it be the start of Meniere disease?
Menieres is freaky. Tinnitus can be caused by several things. But Tinnitus, fullness, vertigo and balance issues are the main symptoms I had. Until my surgery now everything is out of whack. Try watching sodium intake first and see if that helps reduce the symptoms. Get to a good ENT and ask for the test to be checked for Menieres. Sooner you find out better it is.
Your symptoms could be meniere's, and could be many other ailments that affect the inner ear.
It has been my experience that meniere's affects everybody differently, Although the disease will render the same symptoms among many people over a period of time. My meniere's started with random violent vertigo followed by nausea, vomiting and caused bed rest for usually 6 hours, then the symptoms would subside. As the disease progressed, the vertigo became more prominent with hearing loss and tinnitus in the left ear lasting for 24 hours or more. I have had the tinnitus since my symptoms started in 2008. In 2010 the meniere's progressed to include the right ear which brought about tinnitus in both ears, as the vertigo subsided it was replaced with loss of balance. I was able to ambulate with a cane at first, then the balance got much worse forcing me to use a walker. In 2015 because of loss of balance on both sides I require a wheelchair to ambulate. I'm not sure about your symptoms, but I would strongly suggest you see an ENT for evaluation. If your symptoms are meniere's related you will most likely have further issues. Taking action now might render better control of the symptoms

Menieres comes and goes. Often it presents in clusters- several attacks in a short period of time, then nothing for weeks or months.
I have been seeing an acupuncturist for the last couple of years. While it's hard to determine the effects, I believe I've been experiencing less tinnitus and some periods with no tinnitus at all. My acupuncturist now uses lasers so the painful needle pokes around the sensitive ear structure have been eliminated.
Yes, see an ENT to determine if you have tinnitus but don't rely on the ENT to offer much in the way of a cure. They just don't have a good handle on this disease yet, IMO.
