These floaters look like squiggles when I look right but I have a multi focal lens transplanted in my eye and my natural lens was sucked out. This was 3 years ago and I am very happy with the result, except from these floaters I have just seen in the last few days
Has anyone else got this???
New onset floaters could be due to posterior vitreous detachment (PVD)
If any flashes and or veils/shadows in visual field with symptoms of recent onset PVD beware of retinal detachment
Examination of retina would be prudent
The floaters can be caused by many reasons, with most of them not being related to having a cataract surgery or an IOL. If they are bothersome and are not getting any better on their own, it is a good idea to have them checked out by an opthamologist. Depending on the reason for the floaters, he/she may have a specific suggestion to take care of those or may just ask you to wait a little longer for them to disappear on their own
I am scheduled for left eye Tuesday and right the next Tuesday.I AM SO SCARED!!!!
Hi Karen, I have floaters too, I have been told by more than one doctor to drink as much water as possible and that there are no particular treatments, I must say that water helps a lot, I notice them sometimes, but as long as they don't get worse, it is ok.
Hi Karen,
If these are new floaters then you should get them checked by an optician or ophthalmologist to be on the safe side.
