I am currently waiting for a date to have my gallbladder removed, I had a 12mm stone removed from my pancreatic bile duct via ERCP on Tuesday.
Before the stone was removed I had an attack of pain and would vomit after eating most foods, I am underweight and asked the doctor what I could eat safely now the stone is out of the duct.
He said just to try different things as he couldn’t be sure if the pain was from the stones in my gallbladder or the stone that had been stuck.
So I have been trying a variety of foods but still experience bloating, lots of gas and stomach gurgling and sometimes food starts to come back up into my mouth an hour or two after eating.
My question is if anyone has any experience of this really, I know I still have stones in my gallbladder but the one in my bile duct is gone so how likely am I to have another severe attack of pain and how careful do I need to be with what I eat?
I am so hungry but obviously scared to set it off again as the pain was awful.
Is the bloating etc a sign of a possible attack? I live in fear of eating now and thought that once the stone was out of the bile duct I would be at less risk of a flare up but now I’m not sure.
