Hi. I'm Dottie. I would like to talk with others who are having difficulties and share their difficulties.
I have had IBS C and alternating IBS for three years. However, it has improved with buscopan, nurofen and occasionally codeine or Imodium for diarrhoea. Trying to keep control of stress levels also helps. I have been having large periods of remission. My last flare up was in November and the one before was during the summer when I had constipation and severe diarrhoea. Other than that, everything is fine. I don’t have any food problems caused by IBS. I only avoid foods that are too fatty or spicy because I have acid reflux too.
What difficulties do you have? Do you take antispasmodics and have you any food triggers? If you do try a food diary or the Low Fodmap diet.
Dottie
You are suffering Constipation, I would advise you talk with your GP. There are medications that can help you.
However there are potions you can get at a chemist you may try under advisement from a chemist.
I always try something that is not to strong. Figs are good to loosen constipation, or senokot they are also a good choice.
