Hi. I am a week after having adhesive capulitis surgery to relieve my frozen shoulder. I have started physiotherapy and continue to do the arm/shoulder exercises that have been recommended by my PT. My question is the pain in the back of my shoulder...is this normal it's almost just as painful as the bursitis I was suffering. I feel like I'm going insane with the pain and lack of sleep. Please someone tell me it's just a normal process. I'm not seeing my GP or PT until the second week in August as I'm on holiday.
I had the same surgery. I had a nerve block and slept well for two days.
After the block wore off... extremely week, a lot of atrophy in my arms and shoulder. The pain was incredible once again. I was taking 800 mg of ibuprophen, percocet every four hours.
Nothing seemed to calm my arm, shoulder, bicep. It felt as if I were getting stabbed, randomly.
Ice seem to help the most. No more than 20 mins at a time, wait at least a half hour or so before apllying again.
I had surgery in March. It took me about a month after to be able to sleep.
I still do not have full range, but the pain is gone.
I empathize with you. Really horrible pain!
There is an end in sight from the pain tho
