In the last week I have had a carpal tunnel operation on my right hand. After the test I was told that it was a grade 5 out of 6.And was told that the op may not be successful. It is now a week since and there is no improvement so far.Am I being in too much of hurry or is there a chance of gradual improvement over time. Please be frank
was your hand in constant pain before the opperation? Did you try any options like cortisone or therapy? recovery is different for everyone. You need to talk to your doctor. Good luck with recovery.
Not exactly pain but thumb, index finger and next finger not much feeling,It is and was as though one had put ones fingers in stinging nettles, only after the opp it's a bit worse. Thanks for your reply
my husband said it took a month before his was better, then he went to physical therapy. no problems since then ,about 8 years now. hope this helps.
Thanks Mary I must be more patient
Hi Adrian,
im 4 weeks down the line after carpal release on my right hand. No improvement so far. I'm glad you mentioned stinging nettles....that's how I describe the tingling sensation. It's so so annoying! I'm seeing a rheumatologist tomorrow for further tests.
