Hey guys,
I am a 21 year old male and I have been having a lot of issues with my stomach. I have nausea literally after meal or anything that I eat. This has been going on for a year now and at first it was happening once in a while, but now it is everyday. In terms of treatment, my gallbladder was checked and it came out fine. I also have done a test for H. Pylori to ensure that I don't have gastritis or anything and it also came back negative. About a couple months ago I had an endoscopy done on me that showed that my stomach was actually healthy with no inflammation and so my doctor concluded that it was just stress. I do have a history of clinical depression and chronic stress. The depression I believe is at least 85% gone, but the stress is still here. I've tried a lot of things to manage the stress and they have helped a little but, but I haven't seen a very big difference in the nausea. This problem is just destroying me because I can barely sit at work or even go to the gym. Any tips will be appreciate (please).
PS Can vitamin deficiencies contribute to nausea after meals (I don't feel nauseous when I don't eat)?
It could be the foods you are eating. Suggest you consult a registered dietition or nutritionist who can give you a proper daily menu.
have you had an endoscopy?
Yes i have had an endoscopy done and it came back as nothing was wrong with my stomach.
I will definitely look into that.
i would seriously change your diet to a fodmap diet and if difference you know its something youv been eatimg
so much modern food is acidic
also drink qtr teaspook bicarb soda in 250 ml water and that shoulf equalize acidity
are you taking any stomach acid reducing tablets?
If you don’t feel nauseous when you haven’t eaten but you feel sick after eating, this would suggest something in your diet could be causing it. Have you introduced anything new into your diet?Try a food diary to see if it is a food and note down every time you experience stress and if your nausea comes on as a result. A history of stress and depression may explain your nausea because stress upsets the gut. Try these solutions first since you have had negative tests.
If you are eating a balanced diet with lots of fruit and vegetables, you shouldn’t be deficient in vitamins.
I was taking PPI before for reducing stomach acid and now I don’t have any more heartburn or anything at all anymore so I stopped them.

I will definitely try that and in regards to your other comment I haven’t had fruits and veggies in maybe like years. I eat them once in a while but not as much as I should. I don’t eat multivitamins either so I’m going to work on this as well.
If you eat lots of fruit and vegetables, you shouldn’t need to supplement with multivitamins because the fruit and vegetables contain the vitamins and minerals you need. All you need to try is a balanced diet which includes fruit and vegetables.
What I was really asking was had you started eating something different that you hadn’t eaten before?
No, I’ve been eating generally the same stuff but yeah I reduced my fruit and veggie intake. That was the only difference to my diet.
Maybe reducing your intake of fruit and vegetables is causing the nausea.
That’s what I’m hoping it is because it doesn’t seem to be what I’m eating. It’s just eating in general that is the problem. I get nausea no matter what I eat.
have you had your vitamin levels been tested?
No, I’ve only gotten my iron tested. I haven’t had fruits and veges in a while so i will get that tested.
I am not sure but often people can have vitamin deficiencies without knowing it and some can affect your stomach. so it can’t be a bad thing to have blood test. I was vitamin d and b12 deficient and had stomach problems.
do you drink alcohol or take any medication either herbal or pharmaceutical?
