I have nausea and diarrhea with stomach cramps

I have nausea and diarrhea with stomach cramps usually at night after going to bed about every two weeks.  Is there anyone that has the same problem?

Have you been to your doctor?  Ask about IBS which can cause these symptoms. Keep a food diary to see if there is anything you are intolerant to.  Your doctor may recognise your symptoms.  If he doesn't, he may refer you for tests such as a colonoscopy, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT.  He may also run stool tests for h pylori, fecal calprotectin and celiac.  If these are negative. IBS can be diagnosed.

Some causes of diarrhea and nausea is:

1. Food poisoning

2. Gastroenteritis

3. Drug Overdose

4. Giardiasis

5. Maximum use of antibiotic

6. Hyperthyroidism

I would suggest scheduling an appointment with a doctor for needful treatment.

Thanks for your comments.  I just recently had most of the tests you suggested but will return to see my doctor again.
