I have been smoked for two years, and now I am pregnant. Of course, I decided to quit cold turkey. But now I feel that my life force left me. I assumed that it would be difficult, but now I decided to ask for some help. Site VapingDaily recommends nicotine replacement therapy, and I think it's a right decision, but now I have a question about how it affects my future child.
I suggest speaking to your dr and obstetrician or midwife about this.
Hello Frances, well done you! You've giving up smoking because you're pregnant. It's great that you are getting help. You have definitely got your head screwed on and you are putting your baby first. The help you are thinking about getting has a miniscule risk to harming your baby in comparison to actual cigarettes so I wouldn't worry. I've embarked on loads of missions in my life. Namely dieting, giving up alcohol and stopping smoking. With diets I can have a lot of will-power but I wouldn't literally fantasise about cakes and stuff I couldn't have. Giving up alcohol was easy, I can have a glass of wine on special occasions and not drink the rest of the time, no problem. Now, when giving up smoking a experiences strong cravings. If someone was smoking next to me, I would breathe in the smell of the smoke-and love it. Its such a strong addiction. I would describe my cravings as this: imagine your were starving or you hadn't eating for weeks-then you walk past a chip shop! You smell the chips and you feel a yearning, craving. It's like that! Look, you're doing your best. Do whatever is right for you. Good luck with the baby. Donna xxx
