I have my pre-assessment clinic on Wednesday 10th June  and pre-operative education group on the 24th June the first one will be just 6 weeks after seing the consultant. Feel as if there is light peeping through at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully the 3rd date for the op won't be far away. Feeling happy today another step closer.

Great news Gill - good luck. I was told at my pre-assessment that my op date HAD to be within 12 weeks of the pre-assessment, so by 2nd September - the end is in sight! Good luck

The consultant said that the op had to be done within 18 weeks anyway as that is the government guidelines. My 18 weeks is around the 10th September so I'm not going to be far behind you Rosie.

Hi well done! At least there is light at the end of the tunnel! Please make sure you have things in place! A grabber,raised toilet seat and easy meals! Wiltshire farm foods ! They are very good or get friends to help you as well! Regards Amanda

I've already started putting meals in the freezer and I have a lovely partner who is going to look after me (and he can cook ) so I don't think there will be any problems.Thank yuo for all your kind wishes I'm so glad I found this forum so many kind people on here. Also thank you for the hugs.

That's great news. I've had both pre appts too & I have a date for op but keeping quiet in case its cancelled. My appts were similar distance apart. I live in Southend, Essex.

Hope you're not left waiting too long.

I never thought of that, suppose it's a bit like driving test I didn't tell anyone about that. Hope your not waiting too long wither, are you going to tell us when you go so that we know your ok? xx

Excellent news gill. Yes I'm sure your op date will be soon after you education class, it has to be a certain number of days after your pre op otherwise you have to have another pre op.
