I have stopped taking fluoxitide after 24 days

Ok, so after experiencing terrible side effects, I spoke to a gp on Friday and he told me to stop taking them, until I speak with my doctor on Monday, ive felt ok but really bad head, anyone else had a similar experience coming of them so sson.

hi Mandy, sorry to hear that you've had such a bad time with the Fluoxetine, though I'm kinda surprised that a gp told you to stop taking them just like that, without weaning you gradually off them, I was under the impression that was "dangerous"? I do hope you get some alternative help on Monday from your own doctor, not very helpfull with your question I'm afraid, sorry, good luck

Hi Mandy

I have experienced really bad side effects also after 3 weeks I finally got an appointment with my gp who told me to take 1 tablet every other day for a week, then every 2 days the following week and so on until I wean off them. I was on 20mg suffererd with really bad head aches and shooting pains. Then in the last week I had Aches and pains all over which was the last straw for me I had to get off them. I seemed to be getting more and more issues the longer ive taken them. The head fog, ear pain, dizzininess and nausea is still here hoping it will gradually disappear.

I have been told these are side effects of prozac/anxiety. Obviously if they don't disaapear when the tablets stop il be going back to my gp.

Hope you feel better soon

DITTO, I could no longer continue with these tablets, my skin was burning, bad head etc, I came of them completely after 24 days, my gp said it would be fine as not on them long and the worse that would happen, is that I get withdrawel spmtoms, but these will go eventually, already I can think normal and I have been of them for 3 days so far, with feeling a bit tired, hey ho lets hope all will be well coming of them, wish you lots of luck, I have to say its not for everyone.
