I have wierd spots and lines on my tongue, does anyone know what this is?

Hi Tim it could be thrush you will need antibiotics

it also hurts is that normal with thrush?

Yes it can be very painful as the tongue is most sensitive organ in the body I would definitely go gp

Im no expert on tongue diagnosis, but it certainly looks like you have an illness or illnesses lurking somewhere. Your best bet would be to consult a chinese tongue specialist, dont consult Western doctors, they would diagnose differently. Meantime you could google some sights for chinese tongue images and see if you can find any info , or pics that resemble yours. Hope you can get some help, it does look quite nasty.
