Jose,
I am sorry that you have been experiencing this pain.
When I used to get gall bladder attacks the pain would start in my upper right abdomen and spread to my back and shoulder blade. I can only describe it as a gripping pain, as if someone was tightening a rope around my abdomen. These attacks would sometimes cause me to breakout in a cold sweat and become breathless. The attacks came on without warning and lasted anywhere between 15 minutes and 5 hours in my case.
It could be that the pain you have is being caused by your gallbladder, or it could be something else. I know you say you are scared to see a doctor about this and that is understandable, but trust me, the scary thing is to leave this undiagnosed because if it is your gallbladder, it is far better to have it dealt with before it gets worse and calls for a more complex procedure. Please don’t ignore this and put yourself through pain and anxiety. Go to see your doctor as soon as possible, describe your symptoms, and explain that you suspect it could be your gallbladder. The most effective and common way of checking a gall bladder for stones is by ultrasound scan which is completely painless and quick to do.
I was experiencing painful gallbladder attacks this time last year and my quality of life was being affected. I had the surgery seven months ago and was discharged to go home just a few hours after surgery and have made a good recovery. I no longer have those horrible attacks or the on going anxiety about when the next attack will strike. I am so glad I visited my doctor and got it diagnosed and sorted, and I encourage you to do the same. Is there anyone who could go with you to the doctor as this might help you feel less scared?
You could try taking buscopan to help with the symptoms but this is in no way a solution and you need to get checked out.
