i havent had a period for some time.

Hi there, I haven't had a period for 3 months now. I called my GP and was told it could just be a case of POCS as I was recently checked for this and he assured me 100% I wasn't pregnant. I had taken a test in August.. negative, and another one in September negative but slight line. My periods are usually all over the place anyway but this time round seems to be a lot different. For example I am experiencing spotting (I haven't had this before) I haven't had a full period just bits here and there and very minimal amounts of blood. I am somebody who suffers with very heavy long periods. I had a blood test taken back in September but no HCG was discovered. I honestly don't know what to do, should I take a pregnancy test or do I have a blood test taken? I feel something is not right as this is different to before. Many thanks for your time Teigan

If you are not on the contraceptive pill, get your hormones tested. Then you can have an indication whether or not you have PCOS. I used to go 6 months without having a period, then have one that lasted 10 days! If your hormones are imbalanced it can really muck your periods up. Do you have diabetes? Or are you insulin resistant?
