For the last 11 days I treated my herpes outbreak with Acyclovir and now I have redness where it was, it is completely flat, no itching, it’s not painful but the skin is pinkish. Is it going to stay that way? I don’t know if I should continue with the Acyclovir treatment or should I stop? Is the outbreak over? Can I have sex? I’m I still contiguous? I’m worried.

dont have sex until its fully cleared. you may need more anti-virals but if the pain is gone i wouldnt worry.
the skin just hasnt fully healed yet.

It is herpes unfortunately, but I have sensitive skin and from the Acyclovir cream it gets thin I guess. Anyways, thank you for the reply!
