Its been a little less than week now, and I found I got herpes, more than likely it'll be type 1. However it is so painful to sit or walk or even lie down at times. I have been give medication to take, and I know they wont really kick in till later. I just want to know the best tips and tricks I can use for the pain, and for preventing a outbreak. I do plan on doing a supression once I get my offical results. and I know to use water to dailute my urine. please help. I am nothing but scared by this point. I know this STI is not that big of a deal as it is not life threatening, but still not easy to cope with.
Lots of water. Pain reliever for pain. U can try soaking is epsom salt. Id definitely start antivirals i did and its been a life saver i went from have 2 outbreaks a month to none in yhe past year
I remember when I first found out. I assumed that my life was over. It's hard in the beginning, especially if you're young. I couldn't even imagine the next few months, much less my entire life. I completely shut down for a long time. Stopped having sex, completely. Stopped dating. Became a hermit. That was 18 years ago. I've been married for 17 years and we have two kids. Also, the longer you have it, the less frequent the breakouts. I can't even remember the last time I had a breakout, it must have been over two years ago. It's not even on my mind, anymore.
