Hello, I’m 22 years old. This evening, I shaved my pubic hair as I have in the past but today I developed a circular rash that is itchy. Is this jock itch/ringworm? Is it common for it to develop after shaving? Thanks in advance!
Looks like a jock itch. Try clotrimazole to see if it goes away. If it’s persistent, go to a dermatologist.

Did you use a shaving foam? I agree with what glikkon suggests.
What you can also do is when you take a shower wash everywhere else first and rinse - DO NOT apply soap or shower gel or anything else to this area.
Use barely warm running water to throughly rinse the area for at least 2 to 3 minutes - when you get out of the shower dry this area first very carefully so as not to cause any further irritation.
Use your own clean towel, not a shared one
