I'm going insane with thinking I have herpes. Someone please help me :( it's making me depressed

Hi, so I have posted on this site countless times.. In January I have pain down there and noticed a single sore which healed in about 2/3 days. I had been wearing tight knickers and jeans and put it down to that. The area was swabbed but it had basically healed so the result was negative. I had pain and tingling at the time but but that down to the antivirals I was taking as a precaution. I didn't have any further herpes related symptoms until this weekend when I noticed a really itchy/painful pimple down there so squeezed it because I wanted to see if pus came out to determine whether it was a pimple/not. White stuff came out of it but it was extremely sore and remained a red bump rather than changing to an ulcer but they are tiny. I am now getting a couple more pimples and this weird tingling/burning sensation on my stomach, groin and legs, predominantly my stomach. Is this a symptom of herpes? I thought the tingling only occurred in the prodrome stage. Is it possible to have constant tingling throughout the outbreak? Also, I haven't had a sore appear in the area it did initially, does herpes usually show up in the same place? I literally obsess about it every day and feel like I couldn't get properly tested. I'm speaking to my ex again so I'm terrified to have sex and I don't think the UK do blood tests for herpes. I would really appreciate any replies, I'm so down about it.

Hi Emily I think you should not be thinking that much about it, really if you continue you will get some anxiety, according to google in london this guys do blood test for herpes => https://www.citydoc.org.uk/… if they do Im pretty sure others do as well. I just recommend calm down and do a blood test for it (igg), so you can have peace of mind (=, according to most of the recommendations people should wait about 14-16 weeks after the exposure to do the igg test, good luck, hopefully is just other thing, there are a lot of possible things can looks similar to herpes.

Thank you for your comment! Yes I will try and get a blood test as soon as this COVID-19 lockdown is over. I saw that you have HSV-1, do you notice any tingling at all? I’m just hoping that it’s psychological but I don’t know what else it would be. I just do not want to give it to someone and want confirmation whether or not I have it. I would also hate to be thinking I have it all this time and not actually have it.

I know what you mean Emily, about the tingling yes I have that feeling sometimes, even the curious thing with me is was positive for HSV-1, after testing cause of having some symptoms, but never did a swab yet… so in that case is always the question if HSV-1 is oral and not genital (also my sexual contact was so insignificant..long story )… I know is weird but I understand when you say about thinking you have it and not actually have it, I hope you can test soon and have a nice result.
