Dr gave me lexapro for anxiety and I'm scared!! I took 5 mg last night and gave myself a panic attack so tool .5 klonopin felt better .. Now I'm scared to take it tonight did I give myself a panic attack or was it the lexapro?? Please give me opinions!!
It was because you are anxious about taking it, then you take it and before it even kicks in you're panicking, relax and realize it's gonna make you feel good boto bad, I had this reaction one time with propanol and tried to make myself puke right after taking it but couldn't and had a panic attack, I am fairly good tho and talked myself out of it within minutes when the propanol kicked in I felt great
Nice slow heart rate and clear headed
Just relax before you take it and soon as you do don't let any negative thoughts enter your mind
i am also using lexapro from last 2 weeks for my panic attacks and anxiety for the ist few days i feel very bad------i am currently taking propnolol 10 mg 3 times a day and 1 tablet lexapro at night time---a week ago i wake up at night and heart beat is abnormal and feel like i have attck then after few mins i start burping and feelfine then sleep-----------i have alot of fear till now one saturday i have 2 weeks to use the medicine it work but not totaly ---but i am fine then before though i have randomly far but if i compare that with before i am better now little bit so i will use it for few months hope fully it will completely cured my anxiety and fear-------i must say for the ist days every medicine has some reaction just try for more few day
That pill could have been a placebo jelly bean and you would have had the same panic attack. It wasnt the lexapro that gave you a panic attack. Teeny tiny dose and you only had one to date.
This is almost going to be impossible for you to do in your mindset. You have to deciede what kind of existence you want for yourself.
I have to start taking it tomorrow and I'm scared too. I've taken it for 3 days before. Try not to worry, lexapro is supposed to be one of the safer ones
