I'm very scared, any tips ?

New here! I have been dealing with health anxiety for 2 years now. It all started last summer when I thought I had a brain tumor. I passed a whole month being anxious and depressed. I did two CT scans. For the brain and neck. Didn’t show anything. When I started to calm down I noticed that my muscles started to twitch. Every day, very often. All over my body. That twitch our muscles do sometimes right before we fall asleep.. It lasted for a while and then it stopped. Now last month I experienced the same period or anxiety and panic attacks, thinking I have sort of cancer in my mouth or in my throat. I went to a neurologist because I couldn’t handle it anymore. He gave me serotonin pills. Now it’s been a few weeks since I experience the muscle twitching again. Only when I’m relaxed or I rest. I also have a very bad posture even when I sleep and my body is always stiff and tense due to my anxiety. Could this muscle twitching be a symptom of ms? I’m afraid to tell to my neurologist about it and give me an mri to do because I really really don’t want to go through this again. Please let me know what you think.

absolutely do not worry about the muscle twitching. They are very common with anxiety. I have had them on and off for over 30 years. They are not a symptom of MS. they are called benign fasciculation’s. Athletes get them all the time with how they use their muscles.
I think you are over thinking a lot of this. And that can cause more symptoms. And take longer for them to go away. we’re negative thoughts flood our mind, then you risk fear taking over your life.when people say I’ve convinced myself I have this disease are there disease, all they are doing is making up a false fact and then obsessing over it. Then when they obsess they get symptoms and then they are afraid of the symptoms. You don’t have to live like this in misery! Believe me I’ve done that for years and years and nothing bad ever happened. I wasted all those years with worry and fear for nothing! i’m trying to help people to not do that.
before you start worrying about a condition, make sure you are not coming to conclusions based on emotion or fear because that would be based on non-reality and not based on fact. The fact is that your scans came back normal. Another fact is that you are overthinking and creating symptoms.
Remember that our thoughts are not a part of us. They are separate and they come and go all day Long. But most of them are just fleeting and meaningless. You can let them go as soon as they come into your mind. You have to be relentless! you have to turn the negative thoughts into positive ones. Stay busy and active so you don’t think so much. In other words get out of your head and into your life. That would help a lot.
People get all sorts of aches and pains and symptoms and 99% of them are not harmful. there are a lot of articles and meditations on YouTube for anxiety that are helpful. I do hope you feel better soon take care

Thanks so much Jan for replying to this post and providing many people with much support on the forum. Do you still deal with debilitating morning anxiety, racing heart and all the fun stuff that comes with that?

Thank you so much for your reply. It really means a lot to me you took the time to read about my problem and try to help me. I appreciate it and you actually helped me to calm down. It’s very torturing in my 28 years of life to think the worst is happening to me when I get a headache, a sore throat etc. I want to get through this. Thank you again. You’re the kindest!
