Do you guys think this is herpes? a doctor told me so, but he didn’t make any test, I took pills for herpes but it does not seem to work :frowning: also I did a lab test and says it is a bacteria, but I hadn’t had the chance to buy any med

Dear Dora,

I think you could have facial molluscum contagiosum (MC). Here’s a leaflet describing the condition.

Do you suffer from eczema or any pre-existing skin condition/s? I ask because MC is more common in people with skin conditions (clue- the corner of your mouth looks dry and cracked).

I think you should see a dermatologist and ask them to examine your facial rash specifically for MC.

Definitely not herpes; folliculitis/facial acne are other possibilities but the photo suggests MC.

No, I don’t have any pre-existing skin conditions, the corner of my mouth is where is the problem, it started on November 2019, and since then they come almost once a month and it takes 1 or 2 weeks to disappear
