I really should have learned from the first time around, I must take drugs at night to ease myself to sleep.
Had a horrible night last night, couldn't sleep, went into spare room on harder bed, still couldn't sleep, came down and got the laptop out and posted here, still not sleepy. Finally remembered my little friends in the box, took one, went to bed, pluggen in my iPod, and after a bit of music was soundly asleep.
Even now at 8 weeks I still have 2 cocodomol at night if I feel that I need it, I still get pain like last weekend I walked up 2 flights of stairs, big mistake on the Friday as I said earlier over the weekend I was back on the drugs, I also mentioned to the quack on Thursday that I still get a ache he said it could swelling inside the muscle, didn't even bother examine it just said leave sticks off for short walks, what would you class a short walk, it's about 1/2 mile into town and of course the x Ray thing in 7 years I personally think it should be 12 months and if all okay then do 7 years
Marilyn, our doctors could be in the same group !!!! not the surgeon though ... I am very grateful and happy I had him as a surgeon before he trew in the towel ..
I have been trying to get my GP or anyone in the group to look at and check my new hips ~!!!!! they are NOT interested eventhough I tell them I still have pain in groin, around knees etc - I was told to keep taking Celebrex --- big sigh ...
They received the "all clear" from surgeon's office and that's it ????
DUH !!!! now really Graham .... well, I am happy you found out and still had good zzzz's - maybe catch some more this afternoon ...
Yeah, well, one would think that the 2nd time around one remembers right? I am afraid not with everything - some of the things are already put in the distant memory bank - a little delay in registering
Hah, I have done all sorts of mad things on prescription drugs but finally put a reminder on my phone to take me pills (tramadol are the drug of choice for nighttime). I also take a (homeopathy) cannabis tab to ease muscle strain. I take co codamol during the day. Regularity is the secret so you must take your drugs at night and during the day as well, everyone should stop being brave! It doesn't work like that.
Hope you are more comfortable now Graham, not fun having sh*t hips!
I remember those days, they don't last for long but when you are in the throes it is no fun!!!! Rest up ~ let mrs rocket look after you and have a quiet day x
I find it amazing how quickly I forgot the first rules of the game - take the pills, even if you think you don't need them. I was very uncomfortable in bed, a sort of restless feeling, unable to get comfy on my back.
Took a couple of paracetamol - no change, so popped a Codeine, listened to some music, and before long was in the land of nod. They have given me Codeine this time,as the Tramadol gave me nasty withdrawl symptoms.
Just took the car in to the garage as I knew it needed 2 new tyres as the front ones were legal but low on tread, only to be told the back ones were degrading (like perishing rubber), so I needed a full set. Oh well, it should pass the annual test now.
