i need good advice

I've been on cit 20mg for 23 days today. Is it still too early to tell if its going to help my panic attacks and thoughts of dying and hypochondria of everything being wrong with me. I can tell my panic attacks are getting a Lil better but I'm still shaky and worried a lot. I had phobias of being home alone, driving far distances, and taking a shower without someone here in case I would pass out (which I've never done) I went off meds for 3 months and wish I'd never. I feel I relapsed to a worst state of anxiety panic disorder and phobias. I go see NP on the 8th of Jan but I don't wanna start on something else and have to wait another 4 to 6 weeks for relief.

Hi nicki ive not been on the meds long myself but im reliably inform to stick with them it could be 5 or 6 weeks before they work so maybe worth hanging in abit longer hope your good

Thank u so much. It seems to be getting better. I literally had felt like I was losing my mind at first.

I would recommend you to stick with the cit a little longer before switching.  You may eventually need a higher dose.  You may have down days but they won't be nearly as bad as the time before.

Thank you Tara. I just can't believe how bad it got.

I'm happy you're getting help before it got too bad.  You're more sane than you think.  😃

Hi Nicki

Yes definitely you need more time on this medication.  I've taken 20mg for many years and you need to give these meds lots of time for them to settle into your body.  It took me about 3-4 months to feel better, but some people feel the benefit quicker.  Unfortunately you can't hurry these meds and recovery along, it'll come to you in it's own time.  You're doing well, so just persevere and you'll find they'll work for you.
