I have Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 genitally, and I want to know how it can be transmitted. Some people say that it can't be transferred unless I'm having an outbreak, others say it can be transmitted through vaginal and oral sex, and some say it's in the saliva. If anyone knows for sure answers I would love to know as much as I can about my condition so I know what to and not to do. Please help, thank you!
Any sexual contact, skin to skin contact oral sex and sex. Some people transmit the virus because they are shedding which means you can pass it anytime without having an outbreak
So would it be spread through saliva or like kissing?
If its type 1 yes you could, you can transmitted to his mouth or his penis, or from your vagina to his mouth.
