I noticed a small bit of redness in my vagina, not itching/burning - from friction?

I had some pretty good sex a few days ago with my monogamous partner. We didn’t use a condom the first round but he didn’t ejaculate in me, but I was wondering (because it’s been a while since I had sex cause I had mono and my periods - so I waited a good few months) if maybe I’m just reacting differently due to it being a while.

I don’t have a bad smell or abnormal discharge. My period is later this week and I don’t always examine myself but I got slightly paranoid because I smelled different the first two days after before returning to my normal musk. But while examining myself I noticed I have a small red spot in my vagina.

I have an appointment with my Gyno in November -aaah! But I’m wondering if I should see someone now. Or if it’s just friction from examining myself so much cause I didn’t have it till now

A spot actually inside of the vagina or on the outside (vulva) ? As it’s quite hard to self examine internally?....   but bumps on the outside can be caused by many things.... shaving, blocked pores/ pimples etc.   As long as there’s no pain/ itching / bleeding etc.  You Could potentially wait til your appointment. Or If you’re concerned try and get an earlier one.

Ah. You’re correct. I’d say the area before the opening and past the vulva. So before the vagina. And I thought it could be a tear caused my nail as it’s small and red and resembles a cut as opposed to a pimple or a blister.

And no itching or burning. Nothing bothers me until I noticed it earlier

Then honestly I wouldn’t worry about it. Especially if you’re already going to see a gynaecologist.
