I Rattle!

So i finally ask for medical help for my weight.

As of yesterday, I'm now taking ORLISTAT.

I already, grudgingly, take Tegretol, omeprazole and citalopram.

I always read the pamphlet and ORLISTAT shouldn't be taken with Tegretol.

But I'm sure the doctors know what they are doing!

Hi,

no, the doctors do not know what they are doing. Be careful. You are dosing yourself with drugs and they will be inter-acting, you will always have problems and they will very likely solve nothing.

My advice to lose weight is to cut your carbs. Eat proteins and fats but reduce your carb intake. The weight will start coming off but it takes time. Be very careful, nothing replaces a good proper diet, it is madness these days that people put their faith in pills for everything. Recipe for disaster.

I take no meds at all. I eat fresh proper food and no junk. I exercise daily, just walking out with my dog and being busy physically. I lost 3 stones this way and feel excellent. Also the migraines have gone.

Hi Jane Lily,

Out of curiosity, why are you taking Omeprazole?

If you have any issues with stomach acid, or your stomach in general, I'd be careful taking Orlistat, as it can make you feel a little rough for a few days just byself, and it may cause quite an inbalance when mixed.

Hi Lauren,

i was taking it for GORD. I have since stopped.
