I smoked a gravity bong , have serious side effects

i was hanging out with my friends on saturday
smoked weed with some other guys
introduced us to gravity and my life has not been the same ever since
so i have been prescribed medication from the doctor to ease my anxiety
i feel like i’m literally dying on the inside
have my family members coming in a couple of weeks
i havent told them about it since it happened what should i do ?

stay away from recreational drugs if you are an anxiety sufferer, I got anxiety when i first had weed when i was a teenager. stupid habit to get into and not good for your mental health. Your anxiety will ease over time just stay off the weed. just be gentle with yourself till you feel better again

i use to smoke weed and enjoyed it until one day i had a bad panic attack thinking i was gonna die and ever since that day i was introduced to anxiety so now just about everything gives me anxiety i no longer smoke cause its not for me, i will advise to stay away it makes u 10 times worst unless your stubborn enough but it will trigger you anxiety or panic attacks, the symptoms will eventually die down

This happened to me as a teen and I suffered from horrendous panic attacks for months afterwards up until I was prescribed medication. I was also referred to an adolescent psychiatrist to help me learn some coping strategies. These were really helpful and have helped me manage my anxiety throughout the rest of my life (I’m now 35). Try Googling ‘self-help strategies for anxiety’ and try some of the techniques you find.

How long have you been taking the medication you have been prescribed? Sometimes these can take a couple of weeks to start working. Stick with them though, even if you feel like they aren’t working yet. In the meantime, make sure to get a good amount of sleep as being tired can make anxiety worse. If you’re having trouble sleeping, try downloading an app to help you relax. These can also be used any time you’re feeling anxious.

You had a scary experience and everything you are feeling is normal. Coping with anxiety is hard but you WILL get through this and feel better. Just go easy on yourself, try to avoid stressful situations, get plenty of sleep, spend time doing relaxing activities such as watching a film, reading (maybe buy/download a book on anxiety) and spend some quality time with family.

This experience may have been a blessing and has made you see the problems drugs can cause. This will make you think about doing it again, which can only be a good thing!

You will be fine, I promise. Just go with your feelings and don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be suddenly better. It takes time but you will get through this. Big hugs xx
