So I've been on the Flouxetine 28 days total (2wks of that at the 20 mg). I do have some good days and my side effects are gone but I still feel depressed a lot. Is this normal? Should I be feeling mostly all better by now?
I started on 10mg Flouxetine for a major depression episode and then 2 weeks later increased to 20mg
I'd say not ...they day it takes 5/6 to get into your system. .its terrible the way we feel. I want off them but been on them 8/9 yrs and scared to try..my cheeks are flushed these last few weeks and sore heads..just want to be normal 😢..my motor is make the most of the good days..xx
Can I ask what your side effects have been? I'm really struggling with mine and I need to know they will go away.

Yes and on what day did they start the side effects?
Do you have side effects in the first week?
Do you have side effects in the first week?
Nauseau, vomiting, anxiety
They did go away but mine took almost 2 weeks to subside.
Mine started by day 2
Yes
That is quite quick, I'm on day 5, 10mg also and nothing has changed dramatically but I have had bad anxiety and depression as usual. Are you taking the liquid solution prozac?
No mine are capsules
Prozac is a slow burner, can take along time (2 to 4 mnths ) to feel full benefits because half life is long so takes longer to reach steady state.
Benefits of a long Half-Life however are less rough side effects and easier to withdrawal when/if you come off.
Benefits are felt gradually, subtly more energy usually first (so poss insomnia & incr anxiety to start & on dose increases). Give it another 2\3 weeks, (8 weeks total) if you feel subtle improvement then keep going, if nothing then review dose with your GP or a switch if side effects are troublesome.
