Been feeling really down about this for a while now, I'm only 19! Although I haven't been to the doctor- i have read up on the syptoms and pictures online and compared that to my own symptoms!
I seem to be getting out breaks, or at least discomfort and cracked skin at least every three weeks but i am in the midst of having some really painful sores that won't seem to stop itching and being painful (Sorry for the gruesomeness)!
Has anyone ever done an online diagnosis...i really don't want to go the doctor with it and have seen superdrug and dred offer it online- to send some pictures and they can half diagnos it.
I am feeling so awful with it, can't stop thinking that this is for life...
any advice, help would be great.
It could be anything and just reading online and mis diagnosing things can get complicated ..
It's best to get a swab test done on the sores and you will have your results back within a week ...
And then you can absolutely know.
It can be dangerous just walking around with those type of suspicions and not know for sure what it is ..
It's depressing , it's quite a lot of young people on here, we rarely see males
And I always thought males were dominant to it ..
When was the last time you had sex?
The time that you did have sex did you talk to your sex partner about how you feel & any concerns about sexual diseases ??
I would see a doctor. If you are embarrassed or ashamed, don't be. It could be something else, and even if not, you wouldn't be the only one with it. Also, you can go to a different doctor or clinic than usual, if that helps.
Believe me, your dr. has seen it all, and probably does daily. It could be something more serious than herpes....or not, but you need the tests to know for sure.
