I got a egg size lump on my vulva and it seems to be getting bigger and it very painful when i sit down and i dont no what to do to get rid of it
I would start out by sailing in a hot Epsom salt bath twice a day for three days. This will draw the infection to the surface and allow it to drain. These cysts can get very large, If the baths don't work I would go to the doctor.
If you cant get to a dr, get yourself some cephelexin. It is an antibiotic commonly used for treatmentnin bartholin cysts. Some doctors will try to cut it to drain before using antibiotics, some will try to get the infection to go away with cephelexin. Good thing about this is, you can order this online and rush ship it. I also used a VERY hot compress and it began to slowly drain but it reeked of infection, gross! Not sure where they come from or why these happen but Good luck!
if it's infected -antibiotics (I get augmentin for it or I sometimes use metronidazole) plus the soaking ritual with epsom salts
if uninfected-my latest 3 have been uninfected swellings/cysts then Cough syrup with guaifenesin because it thins the mucus..it works, but it takes a few days + the epsom salt ritual
or you can try the epsom salt paste between the soakings....
if everything fails- A&E
I had 4 cysts last month, I tried hot baths and compresses, but that only relieved the pain for a moment. They were not going to burst on their own, I tried for about 4 days
. I was in a lot of pain too, hurt to sit, move, walk... I went to the doctor and they drained them. By that he time I walked out of the office I felt relief. If you can I would go to the doctor.
Katrina38014 IO was in the same position as you up until yesterday. I spent all of yesterday in the bath with sea salt and then in between applied a tea tree compress and luckliy it burst this morning. I have just read that taking silica complex is also excellent for draining and prevention and I will defineltly be trying this too. I think you have to up the dose x3 initially and then keep taking it to keep the BC away. I hope this helps!
