I think I know what caused my, apparently "ibs", and I feel so ridiculous about it 😔

Ok, so as I was mentioning, I am suggested by most doctors I have "ibs", haven't down a colonoscopy as I'm young, and don't know if I should. But anyways I think I know what may have caused it.

For around two years, I will admit I was probably stressed, I had school etc, times were getting stressful with exams and results etc.

But I don't think that was the issue, as for most teens it is.

But I think my issue was anxiety, as I was worried about a lot of things. But what probably strikes me was blood in my stools.

I didn't get this checked out, and so I guess it left me more anxious and worried then ever. Especially when I would get full blood on thmy bowl and on paper.

So as the years passed, I worried everyone it occurred that it would be "cancer". This I think let to then shy bladder syndrome and now this stupid feeling of ibs that I really hate 😔

Sorry for my lack of wittiness, but I still can't stop thinking about my issue, it's in my head 24/7 about what it may be? Should I get a colonoscopy? But I'm worried about it? How am I going to live with this... ARGHHHH

I just want to know how to stop thinking about the constant dull pain that's occurring 24/7, but I can't...

Feels like my life's ruined as I have both of those issues.

Wish my life would go back to normal

But idek if this abdominal pain will ever go away, I thought your body cures itself... but I guess that's a false accusation for me 😞

I'm not giving up, no way. I pray and I know I got hope that this constant bug that seems to be non stop will eventually BAM! go... but idk

Sorry again, and I won't stop hoping

Thank you!!!

My daughter had a colonoscopy just after 14th birthday, the patient before us was 5.

--> So too young?

It needs an indication and gastroenterologist will decide that. There is no age limit for scopes, just indication limits.

To blood: if it is freshly bright and beautiful red, the less worrying espcially at young age. Again, speak to a doc or better gastroenterologist.

I have had fresh blood for decades on off, mostly could even 'feel' why: a scratch like burining sensation: a fissure, too hard stool and it would go on for weeks even stool was soft because it takes time to heal. My daughter -very young- has the same issue if stool is too hard and takes weeks to heal and easy to reopen, but she also has a connective tissue disorder making her more prone to easy bleeds.

You might ask a doc and they will simply have a look and feel at your anus and if indicated ask you to do a sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy.

Exclusion is diagnostic and peace of mind!

Go for it if you can!!

I mentioned hemmerhoids to docs and they straight away said "it's a s from hemmerhoids hemmerhoids"
