I think my Anal Fissure is getting a lot worse, I'm scared now.

I just went to the toilet about 3 hours ago and when I was wiping, there were very large amounts of blood on the three pieces of toilet paper that I used, I mean you could say it was mostly blood covering the paper and some poo on it, I have had my anal fissure since the 20th of March 2017, and I did use the cream for a least two weeks, but after that I stopped using it as I kept forgetting about it, do you think I should go back to the doctor and explain that I think my anal fissure is getting worse or should I start using the cream again?

If the cream works Jonathan, I would use it.

Yes, go back to your doctor. That is exactly what happened to me. Mine started in Dec, thought I was rid of it but it reappeared in Feb. My Dr prescribed Nitrobid (nitroglycerin) but I stopped using after two weeks due to severe headaches. The fissure went away again but when it came back in April I could not seem to get rid of it. I saw very large amounts of blood (what you are describing) and it scared me to death. I wondered if that amount of blood was normal and I took photos to show my Dr, who was visibly alarmed and sent me to a surgical group thinking they would give me a colonoscopoy. I then saw a Nurse Practicioner who refused the colonoscopy due to the fact that the fissure had not healed and it could make it worse--she has recommended me for Botox injection and I am scheduled for a Botox consulatation in Sep. I am continuing to bleed daily despite using the nitrogylcerin again daily since May. I have now used it for for almost 6 weeks straight and the longest I went without bleeding was 7 days. It sounds like your fissure has become chronic like mine. I was not satisfied with the Botox rec, so I called my nearest colorectol surgical group and have an appt scheduled for July 20. I am counting the days! I hope you get some relief soon as well!
