I set moments where I feel “ inner jitters “ and racing thoughts.. it’s freaks me out and I feel like I’m going to go crazy. This is all new to me, I first noticed anxiety issues a few months ago. However, I had a few panic attacks in previous years. I also having a buzzing noise I always hear in my left ear. Bad insomnia and always on edge, do all of these symptoms seem to be anxiety related ?
Unfortunately yes, anxiety causes all sorts of symptoms. Is there anything in particular that is making you anxious? Try deep breathing or meditating which may help you relax, have a hot bubble bath or read a good book. If you are finding this anxiety overwhelming have a talk with your gp. Take care x
No nothing in particular.. it’s an all day thing off and on with the symptoms, I was prescribed Zoloft 50mg by my pcp but it game me horrible intrusive thoughts.. I will see the psychiatrist for the first time next week..
Hi Brandy,
I am so sorry you are going through this.
Yes your symptoms sound like anxiety. The buzzing in your ear could be tinnnitus. It can be caused from a number of reasons. One of those reasons could be anxiety.
I would recommend that you see your family doctor so that you can come up with a plan for recovery.
Your doctor may recommend meds and / or therapy.
You will have to work to get better and it may not happen right away. Be patient with yourself.
Hopefully the pyschartrist will help you, he might prescribe you something different, all antidepressants make you feel worse before getting better, when I first started sertraline I felt like I was going crazy, my head wouldn't shut up and my thoughts were so loud! But now I'm getting better, you have to be patient with medication for work. Hope you get the help you need when you see your pyschartrist x
I have anxiety and panic attacks, I'm 67, then anxiety started when I tried to stop hormone replacement. I take estrogen 3 days a week and use progesterone cream every night. I feel better, less anxiety and sleep better. When the problem started I went to ER,because I felt like my heart was racing. They did every heart test possible, checked for sleep apnea, all hormonal, I encourage women to talk to their dr, about checking hormones. Most Dr will warn of estrogen dangers, but I know my body best, and know my anxiety and heart flutters better now on Ert.
