I've been depressed for 4 weeks (Epidy-orchitis)

Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with epidy-orchitis. The doctor gave 2 weeks of azithro and doxy. It gave slight improvement but I was still in pain (Still manageable). And he gave another two weeks of levofloxacin and doxycyline.

On the third week, I feel much better as the pelvic pain was gone, but still has slight uncomfortable feeling (But barely noticeable). I am also taking saw palmetto, cranberry, and prostac vitamin. Most importantly cutting caffeine, sugar, any considered unhealthy food.

Until yesterday, I ate some salty, sugarish food. It triggers the pain of the swelling Epididymis.

Question)

1. Do I need to take more antibiotics? As I have only 4 weeks of treatment instead of 6 weeks. I am scared it doesn't fully kill all thr bacteria in my prostate. My doctor recommended me to stop, but I still disbelief his advice.

2. It left a cyst, will I be ok?

3. When will the swelling be gone? The swelling seems a bit bigger when I didn't control my food.

4. I have been controlling my diet, it gives me no pain. I am scared that the infection is still there, only because I manage my food intake makes me syntompless.

5. Please tell me your recovery period. I am scared and desperate whether I am on thr right track of recovery or not?

Please give me some feedbacks. Fully appreciated.

A second opinion may help.

I see no need to mistrust what your doctor has told you. I think the anti-biotics are much more likely to be the reason things have improved rather than your dietary changes which, in my case anyway, has taken weeks, even months, to make a difference to my prostate health. You might be wise to continue with the anti-biotics, as usually the advice here in the UK is to complete the prescribed course. However, if you have plenty left over you could take one dose per day as a preventive of return of the bacteria. I had antibiotics recently at 4 a day, which worked as an acute teatment, but now my urologist has asked my GP to prescribe the same at a one-a-day dose for up to 3 months to prevent relapse.
