I've been diagnosed with vestibular migraine

I've been diagnosed with VM. Only thing confuses me is I don't have headaches. Anyone else ever been told this. I'm confused.

Hi mike.  I've had vestibular migraine and some variant of it since 1987.  It's a very tricky diagnosis, one that I didn't get, officially, until 3 years ago. Before then I was misdiagnosed.  Consider yourself lucky!  I can try to answer questions you have, what are you confused about?

Yes, I have been diagnosed with the same thing. Migraine can take many forms, not all of them present with headache. Try to increase your magnesium intake (glycinate), balance your salt and potassium intake, and drink plenty of water. These attacks can be debilitating but there are steps we can take without having to go the drug route. Best, Patricia

Until I got migraines, I had no idea there were so many types. You may have other symptoms such as dizziness, balance issues (even occassionally veering to the right or left as opposed to a constant equilibrium issue), you may visually have an aversion to your right or left perephial, you may have pressure or a blocking feeling in your ears. Talk to your doctor about what specifically you told him or her to get that diagnosis. When they point out the specific symptom(s) you will probably feel a lot better because it will make more sense.
