i've been dizzy for 1 month, help me.

i have been dizzy/unbalanced for almost 1 and half months. i've been through brain scan and results was normal, they said you are facing vertigo and they gave me some medicines which doesn't work for me, my story is i was in gym doing chest exercise with 20 kilos of weight doing exercise i got dizzy i thought maybe its just a normal due to weight my heart is running very fast it will go soon but no it went worst and worst and i controlled my self and went to my home i lied down on my bed for rest but dizziness was not going away, i went emergency hospital they did my tests and they said your blood pressure is low due to this you are facing so i came and slept other day i woke up with dizziness and it was worse, i have pressure/weight on my neck, throat, ears, and around eyes also my vision is blurred and blackness its hard to concentrate on something. i have been faced this before it actually started when i first smoked marijuana o got very very dizzy i was gonna pass out and was shaking and i came to home and drink water and went to sleep i woke up normal my dizziness was gone after that whenever i get very nervous or i think something scary i get dizzy so i had to think of other thing, that day when i got dizzy on gym before some days my friend doing exercise in gym got brain vein damage his left side is paralytic so i was thinking the same thing maybe the same thing happened to me i got very scary and my dizziness was going worst and worst and worst, some days i feel good but not dizzy free but its control-able but sometimes i get attacks like my body comes hot and cold i think i'm gonna pass out, now i really don't know what to do i have appointments with ENT and Neurologist but they are after 2 months can you please help me or tell me something that i can cure my dizziness or vertigo.

Hi Zigla how are doing today sounds to me like anxiety because this happened to me as well, your story is like readying my own. I have also went to many specialist and everything always turn up normal. But what did work for me was paxil it might work for you as well just give it time to work. If you do try it I would like to know how you make out.

I had the same thing some years ago, my doctor ordered a stress test, couldn't find anything wrong. I used to walk around holding on to walls, When I moved north, and got frequent colds, the same thing happened, turns out, it was my inner ear that was the problem which affected my equilibrium. I had a freind in the FBI that was given desk duty due to the same problem.

hi thanks for your comment, so how much time it took to cure your vertigo? i feel like i'm gonna die i'm just 19 and my school is started don't know how i will manage all this, every day i wokeup with same feeling maybe it will never go,

hy thanks for your comment, so how you cured your vertigo and how much time you faced it?

It was inner ear infections, could be caused by a number of things, smoking, stress, allergies., I can't say it was the weather that was the cause because the first one happened in Florida, others in Michigan. Mine just ran it's course, the first time was scary, not knowing whats happening, thinking the worst. Maybe the fact that I quit smoking some years ago, and those ear infections stopped.

I've always had anxiety but once after doing medical procedure the next day, I could t even walk I was so dizzy. So I called in sick, then I called in sick for a week then I got fired then they did a spinal tap, all clear. I told them I thought it was from the medication used during my procedure ...and no one agreed. It was about a month and it all went away. I should say it did get better with each passing day.

Hang in there, it will go away. People had quality and quantity of life before doctors.

sometimes going does more harm than good. I hope all your tests come back that you are healthy!

amxiety is just natures way of saying something is not going so well in the stress department of your life but ehh gads...life can be so stressful.

As soon as you start taking the medication it starts working but you will not notice the full benefit untill about 4 to 6 weeks. The only problem is side effects but every drug has them.

hey yesterday i went to chiropractic specialist he said your muscles are molesting your nerve vein he did job with me back and neck and now i really feel better then before i went to school i was okay without taking any medicine but offcourse i will go to ent doctor to check if its not something serious.

i'm happy for you i'm also feeling better after going to chiropractic.

thanks for your comment i'm getting better i can't even explain how i was 3 weeks ago and its really scary to think back and my neck pressure dizziness is light i hope it will go soon.

I know I was really celebrating when I noticed it leaving...mine was so bad they thought I had a stroke...one side of my body didn't function well with the other.

if I had to live that way I don't know what I'd do....so glad to hear you are on your way back from it!!!!

i wish you more good health

thank you very much.

Yes, having to hold on to the walls to walk...not a good thing. I seriously thought it would be a permenate state. All is well that ends well. !

glad you are better...

hi zigla, how are u right now?

i'm having the symptom like u have last month, everything suddenly felt like rolling around but it stop in a few minutes but the dizziness does not go away, it felt like a little bit dizzy in my head but if i still can go working, but i still dizzy until now, and its been a month.., i go to the doctor 2 weeks n he said that it was bppv (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) n he said the dizziness is like an unfinished recovery from the vertigo he said for some people can last for weeks even month.. so im just wondering how r u doing right now? has it gone away?

thanks

How did it go away, the same thing happened too me I'm so exhausted If it

This has been happening to me too! It's happened 3 times over the past 6 months. The doctors originally thought it was a bad reaction to the contraceptive pill I was on (combined pill) so out me onto another one, just for it to happen again! So now I'm not on any form I contraception and it's happened again! Each time it's happened the symptoms have lessened, but it has lead me unable to drive and work. Whever I put my head on the side I had severe room spins that caused me to vomit, but each time after 7-10 days the symptoms just dissapear so I'm assuming it's vertigo. It's the most scary thing I've experienced in my life, I felt like I was dying first time round! Going to the drs tomorrow to see if they can diagnose me with what I think might be vertigo
